~ SSRsi's Instruction (Live) Page ~
I received all of my live instruction either through Uncle Sam (Army) or through practical experience. Be that as it may, there are alot of programs out there and when we find an independent review, we'll post it here. Feel free to write your own and send it to us.

Boulder Outdoor Survival School. "What BOSS teaches...is how to cooperate with the land rather than how to subdue it. You learn to navigate by the sun, build a shelter out of forest and debris, catch fish with your hands, weave string from plant stems and create fire from friction. It's an unforgettable lesson in primitive living, a refresher course for your soul." -Men's Health Magazine

Simply Survival's Wilderness Adventure School offers several diverse programs which focus on individual and group growth. It's courses are ideal for schools, corporations, and individuals. Last year saw a large expansion in Simply Survival's ability to provide services. It now offers all of the equipment necessary for the wilderness training. Students utilize Kelty backpacks, Atlas snowshoes, intermediate weight sleeping bags, ponchos, poncho liners, orienteering compasses, etc. All the client needs to bring is clothes! Further growth, in 1998, involved the addition of three new classes: fire starting skills (one day), snowshoe travel (one day), and navigating skills (four days). Simply Survival has started to focus on training that is tailored for the High School student and the corporate team. These trips are structured to meet the desired objective of the client. Most focus on developing both wilderness skills while promoting a better understanding of the principles involved in leadership, followership, and self-esteem.
