Above Catastrophic Flood Levels from Hurricane, Tsunami, Meteor/Asteroid/Comet Strike
We are not in a hurricane or tsunami zone and, being a valley surrounded
by the highest mountain ranges in the country, even a catastrophic wave
would have difficulty reaching our borders. As far as celestial strikes,
the angle of impact would have to be quite extreme to hit Summit or
Grand counties. More likely, any incoming object would strike the
outside of one of our protective ranges. Still, you never know.
Though the idea of being impacted by any of these threats is slim, I've
decided to incorporate the "Earth Changes" scenarios. Below are the
various "end of times" earth changes maps. You will see that Summit &
Grand counties are NOT in the affected areas (though close, in some
instances).

Major global Earth changes will begin in the United
States as the North American Plate buckles, creating the Isles of
California — 150 islands in all. Eventually, through tectonic plate
buckling and fractures followed by inundations, the West Coast will
recede eastward to Nebraska, Wyoming and Colorado.
This means that approximately on the other side of the Gore or perhaps
the Sawatch Ranges, we'll be looking at beachfront property. I could
live with that.

And this one...
Awakened one night by the luminous figure of Saint Germain at the foot
of her bed, her work had begun. Later in the same year, an image of a
map appeared in her dream. Four teachers clad in white robes were
present, pointing out earth changes that would shape the future United
States.
John Running Deer:

Chet Snow:
After the major Earth Changes 1998-2012 AD as foreseen in
Mass Dreams of the Future by Dr. Chet B. Snow. Colorado isn't
even touched.

current era, it is clear that Earth and our solar system are in the
throes of a profound evolutionary transformation. This meticulously
conducted research, coupled with my vivid personal "future memories"
taken under hypnosis by Dr. Wambach, reveals many important changes in
the years ahead with possible massive climate shifts, world-wide
earthquakes and volcanic eruptions in the Pacific Rim, all leading to
severe Earth Changes, including Japan's imminent collapse into the sea
and the sinking of large portions of our own West Coast. Although the
dating of some of my own personal "future memories" has proven
premature, the sequence of events that I describe remains not just
possible but plausible, especially if some of the more dramatic
incidents are understood as symbolic warnings—a way for my own
subconscious to galvanize me and my readers into action while there is
still time to modify some of the more extreme conditions I foresaw
happening already today."
Dolores Cannon:
This map shows the North American continent after the
Earth shift. Striped lines are existing large water masses. White areas
are existing land. Black areas are remaining
land that will be above
water after the Earth shift. This map and
the above description are from the book, Conversations with Nostradamus
(Vol. 2), page 296, by Dolores Cannon. Dolores emphasizes that this is a
worst case scenario. In her book, Dolores has a total of six maps
covering other parts of the world. She also explains why some of this
will happen in particular areas of the country. Looks like we will be
fine on this one as the Rockies become a sort of island.
The One by Gordon Michael Scallion That Looks Dicey
This map seems to defy logic and, though it is kind of hard to tell, appears to include our two counties. Yikes. But a more likely (if this is at all likely in the first place) would be as shown, below:
Ashton Pitre:
This is how Ashton Pitre, of Marble Falls, Texas, sees
the US after the Earth changes. He shows "Primary" and "Secondary"
destruction caused by water between the years of 1995-1999.
Sorry, Ash - it's been about 10 years past your deadline... but at least
we weren't targeted for your changes.

although half that would make a BIG difference to the counties.
