Hoods Woods has been offering the best survival information on the Internet since 1992 when Ron grabbed the Survival.com domain name. For Ron it wasn't just a name, it described both a lifestyle and what Ron has been teaching and studying since the 1960's. It took a lot of “dirt time” to bring you the material on this site and in
their EXCELLENT videos (see our review).
Ron & Kathy hope you'll enjoy both!

Native Planet's first project. It started with a three and half year expedition paddling 4000 miles from Mexico to Panama to document the remaining indigenous cultures . The aim was to use adventure travels to generate a strong reader base, and introduce cultural information to sensitize the general public on the beauty of indigenous culture and the importance of preserving them. One year before the end of this expedition, it evolved into the Native Planet.
