This book is included in the US Armed Forces Organizations section.

Intention of Book The contents of this manual have been copied from various works, and the chapters which apply have been reproduced word for word. It is intended that it should be given to every pilot, and that a number should be available for mechanics. The handbook should be sufficient for elementary training in rigging, engines, instruments, magnetos, meteorology and theory of flight, so that pupils need not read books which are not useful or which cover the same ground, in other words.
