Soldier Support in the Field Headquarters Department of the Army Washington, DC 31 December 2002 SUMMARY of CHANGE AR 700–135 Soldier Support in the Field This revision-- o Changes the title of the AR from Mobile Field Laundry and Bath to Soldier Support in the Field. o Prescribes Army policy for field service requirements that have been expanded due to changed missions in the field (chap 2). o Covers support agreements (chap 3). History. This publication is a major revision. Summary. This regulation prescribes Army policy for obtaining soldier support in the field. Soldier support in the field includes laundries, clothing repair, clothing the soldier, field feeding, tactical field exchange, showers, decontamination, latrines, containerized chapels, mortuary affairs, host nation support, interservice support, Force provider, and Logistics Civil Augmentation Program (LOGCAP). Applicability. This regulation applies to the Active Army, the Army National Guard of the United States, including periods when operating in an Army National Guard capacity, and the U.S. Army Reserve. Proponent and exception authority. The proponent of this regulation is the Deputy Chief of Staff, G–4 (DCS, G–4). The DCS, G-4 has the authority to approve exceptions to this regulation that are consistent with controlling law and regulation. The DCS, G-4 may delegate the approval authority, in writing, to an individual within the proponent agency in the grade of colonel or the civilian equivalent. Army management control process. This regulation contains management control provisions, but does not identify key management controls that must be evaluated. Supplementation. Supplementation of this regulation and establishment of command and local forms are prohibited without prior approval from the HQDA (DALO – SMT), Washington DC 20310–0500. Suggested Improvements.
