Ordering:
1.) Find the titles you wish to include in your purchase. Each title has a byte total which you need to keep track of in order to purchase. Each CD disk will hold approximately 635 megabytes (635,000,000 bytes) of information. The best method is to use notepad or some similar text program. Copy and paste your selections from the library pages to your text program, including the title and byte count.
2.) When you have finished making your selections, total up the byte counts and divide this number by 635,000,000 to find the number of discs you will need to order.
Keep in mind that a kilobyte (kb) is 1,000 bytes. For instance, a 1 kb file is actually 1,000 bytes of data on a disc. (Actually, it's more - but that is why a 700 mb disc will only hold 635 mb of data.)
3.) Order and pay for the number of discs needed to hold the information you have selected, using the pay buttons. A purchase notice will automatically be sent to SSRsi upon completion of payment process through Amazon.com.
4.) Now you need to send an e-mail to SSRsi containing the list of selections you want on the discs. THIS IS IMPORTANT!! Paste your selection from notepad into the e-mail. Without your list of selections, SSRsi has no idea what to load onto the discs you have paid for. You will receive a confirmation e-mail from SSRsi after we receive the purchase notice from Amazon showing a completed transaction. It would be a good idea to include your mailing address in this e-mail as well.
5.) Since you are paying for the discs, storage and transfer of information, and shipping and handling costs only - not for the titles themselves - it is in your own best interest to fill up whatever number of discs you are paying for. Beware of overdoing it, however. Leave a little lee-way on your order. SSRsi will fill in any free space available on each disk with whatever we have that will fit, though efforts will be taken to keep these additional files as close as possible (in relation) to the files you ordered.
6.) The titles are broken up by section for your convenience in locating the information you want. Different sections can be be combined on any disk. You DO NOT need to order separate discs for separate sections. All titles will be loaded, more or less, in alphabetical order, then filled with whatever else may fit.
Note: We know this is a little bit hokey, but it's the only method available to us at the moment. We apologize for the hassle.
